Good cottage pie recipe. In the UK, this would never be served with salad as suggested here. We would have hearty veg, such as cabbage or carrots. Pickled red cabbage / beetroot on the side is excellent and cuts through the ‘fat’ in the meat! Extra gravy is always welcome!

I made this fairly true to the recipe card, with just a few minor changes due to ingredients on hand and time constraints, and it was delicious! I prefaced with an Arugula salad to get in some greens. Can’t wait to eat the leftovers. Good work Tonia!
